She has authored and co-authored several publications regarding numerous areas of physical therapy. Heather excels at treating both neurological and orthopedic patients of all ages and is one of the top 1% of all practitioners in the state who has achieved both a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and a Board-Certified Specialist distinction in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. In addition to her athletic recognition as a Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES), she is working toward her Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification. Heather’s top priority is always the care for her patients. She approaches their therapy with compassion and understanding, making their comfort and recovery her top goal. Having graduated at the top of her class with high honors from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, Heather established extensive experience in both orthopedic and neurologic rehabilitation settings. During this time, she developed a particular interest in complementary and alternative medicine and has contributed to a number of publications regarding the effects of yoga on physical rehabilitation. Most recently, in the ”Rehabilitation of the Hand and Upper Extremity” textbook, Dr. LaManno co-authored a chapter called “The Use of Yoga Therapy in Hand and Upper Quarter Rehabilitation.”

Dr. Klejmont has served on the Board of Directors for IBF Middleweight Champion Daniel Jacob’s Get In The Ring Foundation. As the head of the Medical and Fitness Committee, Mike provided guidance and care for children, teenagers, and families working through the challenges associated with childhood cancer.

Graduating Magna Cum Laude from Rutgers University with a degree in Exercise Science, Mike went on to earn his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the Rutgers School of Health Related Professions (formerly UMDNJ). Working on a study to determine risk factors for ankle sprains in intercollegiate soccer players, he won awards for Outstanding Academic Performance and Outstanding Research Performance.

Mike’s foray into health and fitness is nothing short of inspiring. He has gained invaluable experience from personal training sessions with industry icons such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, a 7-time Mr. Olympia and 4-time Mr. Universe, as well as Bill Grant, a former Mr. World and Mr. America. His interactions with these mentors have profoundly shaped his approachability and expertise.

Furthermore, Mike has also made significant contributions to Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Pump Club newsletter, authoring several insightful articles. Mike’s expertise was also prominently featured in the fourth episode of Schwarzenegger’s renowned podcast. With a tenure of over two decades within our organization, he has positively impacted the lives of thousands of patients, facilitating their journeys back to health and the attainment of their goals. Beyond his remarkable patient-centered care, Dr. Struble assumes the role of Director of Clinical Mentoring, sharing his extensive 20+ years of experience to ensure our Doctors of Physical Therapy consistently practice at the pinnacle of expertise. Dr. Struble’s impressive contributions have also earned him a Senior Executive position within our esteemed company leadership team.

Gary has been recognized by The McKenzie Institute International as a Specialist in Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment of Spine Injuries (MDT) and is further recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association as a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). Dr. Phil Lombardo, a superior physical therapist, has extensive experience in the care of both sports injuries and general musculoskeletal injuries for patients of all ages. He is our Clinic Manager on the Monday / Wednesday / Friday team and has achieved the prestigious position of Senior Executive on our leadership team. In 2007, Phil joined the top one percent of the Doctor of Physical Therapy in the country by becoming an APTA Board Certified Specialist in Sports (SCS). Dr. Lombardo has distinguished himself as a provider of choice in Sports Medicine and is recognized by the National Federation of State High School Association as a Certified Coach specializing in Track and Field (NFHS). His expert knowledge as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), a Sports Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES), and a Certified Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) guarantee his patients the highest quality of care.

It brings Phil great joy as he shares MovNat, a physical education system for developing real-world capability through natural movement with his patients and now to the public. His journey led him to becoming a MovNat certified instructor, hosting the first-ever MovNat Elements Workshop in NJ and then becoming the first-ever licensed MovNat facility in NJ.

As a devoted fitness enthusiast, Phil loves to constantly learn about and train in all areas, including strength training, running, hiking, and kayaking. He grew up in Leonia and now resides in Butler with his wife and sons. Chris graduated Magna Cum Laude from Quinnipiac University with a Bachelor’s in Health Sciences before continuing on to earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Quinnipiac. There, he was selected as the graduate assistant for the motion analysis lab, where he furthered his knowledge of the biomechanical model and its application to physical therapy. Specifically, Chris researched the effects of fatigue on lower extremity biomechanical control in athletes and was chosen to present his research at four nationally recognized conferences, including a trip out to San Diego to present at American College of Sports Medicine.

While he was an educator, Zach researched technology integration in the classroom, developed activities to improve the understanding of the STEM fields, and analyzed modeling practices in science education. Following his passion for learning, Dr. Cohane earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Columbia University. While there, his research investigated balance and gait dysfunction in Alzheimer’s patients. And, he authored publications on the discovery of new genes in two different species. Zach is also a fervent advocate for both athletes and geriatric patients, as he feels they are often underserved in healthcare.

When Zach takes a break from his meticulous practice, he connects with his family, which means the world to him. Zach incorporates his creative passion for playing guitar and bass to remain grounded, providing an outlet of positivity that is greater than himself.

Studying with steadfast dedication at Misericordia University, Jerry graduated Magna Cum Laude with his undergraduate studies in Biology and Chemistry. While achieving his Doctorate, Jerry was awarded membership in the prestigious ACAPT National Physical Therapy Student Honor Society. Volunteering his time in the Physical Therapy Pro Bono Clinic for uninsured patients, Jerry learned the value of building patient rapport, the importance of thorough communication, and precision in patient diagnoses.

Establishing the first football team at Misericordia and playing linebacker, Jerry understands the mindset it takes to get athletes back in the game after experiencing an injury. He utilizes the most up-to-date scientific approaches and cutting-edge treatments to restore vital functional movement to patients of all ages. Caitlin graduated from Drew University with a double major in French and Sociology. She also had the extraordinary opportunity of studying at the Sorbonne during a semester abroad in Paris. With work to be completed in two languages, Caitlin learned exceptional time management skills that translated to six Dean’s list awards, acceptance into the Pi Delta Phi French Honor Society, and now to her role in our organization. With her passion for learning about other societies and cultures, Caitlin feels fulfilled to have an opportunity to help people every day here at NJCPT. She is a firm believer in taking every step she can, no matter how small, to make a positive difference in your day.

As a Nationally Licensed Athletic Trainer with Functional Movement Screening certification, Kayla has an immense passion for supporting patients as they conquer their personalized treatment plans. While earning her Bachelor’s from Montclair State University, she targeted injury prevention and sports management, providing her with expert knowledge about the mind-body connection. Kayla was the keynote speaker for the Montclair ATEP Symposium, presenting research-based case studies on Cryotherapy and its benefits to patient care. Kayla has worked with a wide variety of athletes, from the Red Bulls Men’s Soccer team to Special Olympics and Collegiate athletes. Her professionalism continues as an influential member of our Community Outreach Committee, hosting injury prevention screenings, and leading our Clinic Coordinator department with precision.

When she isn’t brightening the office with her friendly smile, you can find Caitlin at Fort Lee High School, where she is the color guard director and for the school’s marching band. She enjoys performing herself with the Hawthorne Caballeros Drum and Bugle Corps. During her free time, Caitlin finds relaxation in playing music, either on the guitar or the cello.

Kayla is an active, intricate part of our team as our Organizational Clinic Coordinator Manager and Assistant Clinic Manager. Patients immediately discover that Kayla creates a friendly atmosphere of ease and comfort the moment they walk in the door. Kayla’s best day is building deep rapport with our patients, listening to their stories, and ensuring our Doctors have everything necessary to bring them to full recovery.

As a Nationally Licensed Athletic Trainer with Functional Movement Screening certification, Kayla has an immense passion for supporting patients as they conquer their personalized treatment plans. While earning her Bachelor’s from Montclair State University, she targeted injury prevention and sports management, providing her with expert knowledge about the mind-body connection. Kayla was the keynote speaker for the Montclair ATEP Symposium, presenting research-based case studies on Cryotherapy and its benefits to patient care. Kayla has worked with a wide variety of athletes, from the Red Bulls Men’s Soccer team to Special Olympics and Collegiate athletes. Her professionalism continues as an influential member of our Community Outreach Committee, hosting injury prevention screenings, and leading our Clinic Coordinator department with precision.

When Kayla steps away from her stellar support to our Doctors, she reconnects in the beauty of nature, hiking through the Ramapo mountains and traveling with friends to the beach. You may find her on the slopes snowboarding down the hills in the winter. She firmly believes in living each day to the fullest and that happiness is well deserved for each individual.

Alyssa, our Organizational Administrative Assistant (OAA), is committed to delivering an outstanding experience for every patient the moment they walk in the door. Deeply insightful and boundlessly supportive, Alyssa takes every opportunity to put the needs of our patients first, effortlessly creating comfort and ease for them. Alyssa enthusiastically supports our Client Care Specialist Team with their coverage needs and leads the Homecare scheduling for our Board Certified Doctors of Physical Therapy and patients. She continuously provides significant support to our 2022 President Alicia Handel as our Organizational Administrative Assistant ensuring our clinics are run with meticulous attention.

As a former athlete in cross country, track, and soccer, Alyssa has firsthand experience with Physical Therapy being a patient herself. She meticulously implements scheduling solutions to accommodate our patients’ needs and continuously deepens her knowledge of the myriad of insurance complexities. Her best day is creating an environment where patients can focus on recovery and celebrate their successes.

In her free time, Alyssa enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, taking her dogs to the park, and winding down with a new series on Netflix. Alyssa strives to make new, warm memories with loved ones and those around her daily.

She plays an intricate role supporting our Doctor’s of Physical Therapy, ensuring they have everything needed to bring patients to full recovery. With her positive personality, Amanda creates an atmosphere of comfort and ease for each person with whom she interacts. She is sure to celebrate each success with every patient.

Amanda graduated from Gannon University with a Bachelor’s in Sports and Exercise Science. Turning a soccer injury into inspiration, she began her career within our clinic after discovering the benefits of high-quality care, with a top priority to motivate each person around her. Amanda understands the importance of optimal wellness, to alleviate day to day stresses and loves seeing patients enjoy their rehabilitation. Being a forever learner, Amanda has achieved her personal training certification to further her expertise in physical fitness.

When Amanda takes a break from supporting our clinic, she spends her days learning new ways to focus through meditation. When she wants to tap into her creative senses, Amanda can be found working on a plethora of crafts and training her dog.

Kyle, a Dean’s list honoree from Montclair State University, earned his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, focusing on the significance of functional movement. He discovered his life’s calling to assist others while volunteering with disabled students and organizing basketball games that brought joy and community togetherness. His positivity and readiness make him a beacon of warmth in the NJCPT family, ensuring a smile is brought to every patient’s face. 

In his free time, Kyle enjoys staying active. A football and baseball fan, he loves spending time outdoors with his family, girlfriend, and dog. He believes in the power of physical activity and its role in maintaining overall health, a principle he upholds in both his professional and personal life.

Holly’s educational journey at Ramapo College, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science with a minor in Gerontology, has profoundly shaped her approach to our support team. Her knowledge in Gerontology allows her to connect easily with our senior patients, celebrating their success stories throughout their rehabilitation journey. Moreover, Holly leverages her background in Social Science to create an empathetic and compassionate atmosphere within our clinics, easily connecting with Doctors of Physical Therapy to meet the needs of our patients each day.
