Dr. Heather LaManno is a sought-after expert in all areas of patient care, who is actively involved in evidence-based practice and research. She has authored and co-authored several publications regarding numerous areas of physical therapy. Heather excels at treating both neurological and orthopedic patients of all ages and is one of the top 1% of all practitioners in the state who has achieved both a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and a Board-Certified Specialist distinction in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. In addition to her athletic recognition as a Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES), she is working toward her Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification. Heather’s top priority is always the care for her patients. She approaches their therapy with compassion and understanding, making their comfort and recovery her top goal. Being at the top of her game, Heather knows exactly what she is doing and is eager in answering any questions patients have.

Having graduated at the top of her class with high honors from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, Heather established extensive experience in both orthopedic and neurologic rehabilitation settings. During this time, she developed a particular interest in complementary and alternative medicine and has contributed to a number of publications regarding the effects of yoga on physical rehabilitation. Most recently, in the ”Rehabilitation of the Hand and Upper Extremity” textbook, Dr. LaManno co-authored a chapter called “The Use of Yoga Therapy in Hand and Upper Quarter Rehabilitation.”

Dr. Mike Klejmont is a dedicated provider who gives exceptional care to patients of all ages, with a focus on musculoskeletal and neuromuscular rehabilitation. Mike utilizes advanced manual therapy to promote healing, integrative therapy to treat the whole person, and virtual reality training to improve your body awareness and function. Patient care is his top priority, not only will he go out of his way to help them fully recover, but he will be with them every step of the way. Mike’s mix of modern medical techniques and his devoted personal care make him the standard for all doctors to follow.

In addition to his role as our Clinic Manager, Mike has earned distinction both in our organization, as a member of our prestigious Executive Team, and in his profession by joining the top 1% of all providers in the nation as a Doctor of Physical Therapy who is also APTA Board Certified.

After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Rutgers University with a degree in Exercise Science, Mike went on to earn his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the Rutgers School of Health Related Professions (formerly UMDNJ). It was there that he worked on a study to determine risk factors for ankle sprains in intercollegiate soccer players and won awards for Outstanding Academic Performance and Outstanding Research Performance. He is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and Certified Kinesio Tape Practitioner (CKTP). Mike is also a Certified Sports Performance Coach through USA Weightlifting and has plentiful experience with musculoskeletal and neuromuscular rehabilitation.

Dr. Gary Struble, one of the founding members of our clinical team, is well-respected across the entire North Jersey area as an exemplary spinal and orthopedic specialist. He has helped thousands of patients return to health and achieve their goals over his past 15 years with the organization. In addition to providing superb individualized patient care, Dr. Struble is also our Director of Clinical Mentoring. He imparts his 20+ years of patient care experience to ensure all of our Doctors of Physical Therapy are practicing at the highest levels of expertise. Dr. Struble has also earned a Senior Executive position on our company’s prestigious leadership team.

Gary has been recognized by The McKenzie Institute International as a Specialist in Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment of Spine Injuries (MDT) and is further recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association as a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). His specialist certifications in both Orthopedics and Spinal treatment distinguish him as part of the most highly credentialed 1% of all providers in the nation. Dr. Chris Rago brings multifaceted physical therapy expertise to our skilled Monday, Wednesday, and Friday team. He is avidly sought after for his extensive knowledge and passion in both orthopedic and sports physical therapy. Dr. Rago’s approach to patient care aligns with NJCPT’s philosophy because he delves into understanding each of his patients needs to provide individualized treatment plans to create better outcomes. Chris is actively preparing for his Board Certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy.

Chris graduated Magna Cum Laude from Quinnipiac University with a Bachelor’s in Health Sciences before continuing on to earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Quinnipiac. There, he was selected as the graduate assistant for the motion analysis lab, where he furthered his knowledge of the biomechanical model and its application to physical therapy. Specifically, Chris researched the effects of fatigue on lower extremity biomechanical control in athletes and was chosen to present his research at four nationally recognized conferences, including a trip out to San Diego to present at American College of Sports Medicine.

Dr. Femi Betiku is a highly adept Doctor of Physical Therapy with a dual focus in orthopedic and sports physical therapy. Femi is dedicated to building a strong rapport with his patients to help each of them reach their goals by developing an individualized plan and employing the most up to date evidence-based approaches. He is passionate about both alleviating every patient’s symptoms and eradicating the underlying cause. He utilizes targeted manual therapy techniques and neuromuscular re-education to optimize success, so his patients can return to doing what they love. Dr. Betiku is also actively preparing for both his orthopedic board and manual therapy certifications.

Femi completed his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at Rutgers University and went on to earn his Doctorate from New York University. While at NYU, Dr. Betiku broadened his skill sets working with St. John’s University Division 1 athletic teams and with children at a sensory integration pediatric practice. Through his experiences, Dr. Betiku has developed a deep passion for treating the most complex of musculoskeletal cases. Dr. Melanie Eskin is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with a dual focus in sports and orthopedic physical therapy, including vestibular rehabilitation with a focus on concussions. She is a firm believer in the power of movement and its contribution to healing!

Melanie graduated Summa Cum Lauda from Ramapo College of New Jersey with a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Physical Therapy in the accelerated 6-year program. While at Ramapo, she was an outfielder for her softball team. She then went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Rutgers University, where she was an active member of the student board for The Community Participatory Physical Therapy Clinic, a student-run clinic for the community of Newark, NJ. While at Rutgers, Dr. Eskin was part of a team who developed a systematic review, titled, “For individuals with non-contact ACL rupture, is there evidence of hip rotation range of motion limitations?” She personally presented the research at one of the largest APTA conferences, Combined Sections Meeting, in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Eskin is a current member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and its Sports Physical Therapy Section.

Dr. Eskin successfully treats patients with orthopedic, sports, and neuromuscular conditions. Her success has been built on her years of experience using an individualized approach which draws from her personal athletic background, her dedicated work ethic, and meticulous patient examinations. These components have allowed Dr. Eskin to produce significant results for her patients. Melanie is able to connect and empathize with her patients as she herself has had to persevere after sustaining a collegiate softball career-ending injury during her senior year. Zach’s experience as a lifelong learner, teacher, and researcher empowers him to connect to his patients with a profound understanding of their needs, which is the basis for the individualized whole-body programs he designs. Dr. Cohane began his career as a science teacher after receiving his bachelor’s in Biology, and his educational master’s in Biological Sciences from Rutgers University. While he was an educator, Zach researched technology integration in the classroom, developed activities to improve the understanding of the STEM fields, and analyzed modeling practices in science education. Following his passion for learning, Dr. Cohane earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Columbia University. While there, his research investigated balance and gait dysfunction in Alzheimer’s patients. And, he authored publications on the discovery of new genes in two different species. Zach is also a fervent advocate for both athletes and geriatric patients, as he feels they are often underserved in healthcare.

When Zach takes a break from his meticulous practice, he connects with his family, which means the world to him. Zach incorporates his creative passion for playing guitar and bass to remain grounded, providing an outlet of positivity that is greater than himself.

At Stockton University, Dr. Christy completed her Bachelor’s in Pre-Movement Dance with a Holistic Health minor, then earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She was recognized for her high academic achievements, graduating Cum Laude. While working diligently towards her Doctorate, Christy received the prestigious LEGO award for her profound work ethic, steadfast commitment to customer service, and exemplary leadership. At Stockton University, Dr. Christy completed her Bachelor’s in Pre-Movement Dance with a Holistic Health minor, then earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She was recognized for her high academic achievements, graduating Cum Laude. While working diligently towards her Doctorate, Christy received the prestigious LEGO award for her profound work ethic, steadfast commitment to customer service, and exemplary leadership. Kristina, a guiding light for our team and patients, holds a dual role as our Organizational Office Manager as well the Client Care Manager of our MWF team in Riverdale. She attended the esteemed Rowan University where she graduated with high honors with a B.A. in Education and American Studies. While at Rowan she was inducted into Kappa Delta Pi, an International Honor Society of Education. Kristina is also a thriving member of our esteemed Executive Leadership Team.

Kristina’s passion for education has led her to serve as a mentor to all of our Client Care Specialists. Her love for people combined with her desire to serve our patient population has facilitated deep connections with hundreds to thousands of patients, over the years. Her goals are to make sure all patients leave our office feeling confident in their care and have a thorough understanding of their insurance benefits.

In her free time, Kristina enjoys traveling. Some of her favorite spots have been Colorado to hike the Rocky Mountains and Key West to enjoy the beautiful beaches and clear water. She is setting her eyes on Iceland and other European countries next. While traveling, she loves to experience new cultures and taste the local cuisine. Lucky for her, she is married to a professional chef who helps her to enjoy many of these new cuisines right in her own kitchen!

In her role as your Reimbursement Liaison, Caitlin works alongside our Reimbursement Department to personally communicate with your insurance company and advocate for the care that you need. She puts her insurance expertise to use helping you navigate the insurance world and get every question you may have answered with confidence. Caitlin also loves learning about all of the families who come through our doors, and she is excited to get to know you!

Caitlin graduated from Drew University with a double major in French and Sociology. She also had the extraordinary opportunity of studying at the Sorbonne during a semester abroad in Paris. With work to be completed in two languages, Caitlin learned exceptional time management skills that translated to six Dean’s list awards, acceptance into the Pi Delta Phi French Honor Society, and now to her role in our organization. With her passion for learning about other societies and cultures, Caitlin feels fulfilled to have an opportunity to help people every day here at NJCPT. She is a firm believer in taking every step she can, no matter how small, to make a positive difference in your day.

When she isn’t brightening the office with her friendly smile, you can find Caitlin at Fort Lee High School, where she is the color guard director and for the school’s marching band. She enjoys performing herself with the Hawthorne Caballeros Drum and Bugle Corps. During her free time, Caitlin finds relaxation in playing music, either on the guitar or the cello.

Stephanie graduated from William Paterson University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Going to school full time, working full time and becoming a member of Phi Sigma Sigma was a challenge but Stephanie’s excellent time management skills got her through it.

In her free time, Stephanie loves to plant and be outside. Her room is full of succulents that she calls her babies. When she is not home talking to her plants, she is outside on a hike. One day she hopes to own a small farm so she can plant all day long and have fresh strawberries every year.

Kayla is an energetic, fun-loving, compassionate team member willing to go the extra mile to ensure patients know they are the top priority. She loves interacting with all of the patients and getting to know them on a personal level. As Lead Clinic Coordinator for the Monday, Wednesday, Friday team her goal is to make patients feel comfortable while ensuring the clinic runs smooth and efficiently. Because of her background as a Certified Athletic Trainer, she understands the rehabilitation process and ensures the doctors have everything they need to help patients make a full recovery. Kayla also works with clients using our new and revolutionary Cryo Revive Unit that helps to increase faster recovery. She is an integral part of the team who helps patients reach their goals and get them back to doing what they love.

A graduate of Montclair State University, Kayla received her Bachelors of Science degree in Athletic Training. All throughout school, she worked one-on-one with athletes to make sure they were reaching their full potential and helping them make a complete recovery. Her main focus and passion is rehabilitation, allowing patients to return to their daily activities. She earned her certification for Functional Movement Screenings to help with injury prevention and is pursuing her Personal Training Certification. Kayla has worked with a wide variety of people from the Red Bulls Men’s Soccer team to Special Olympics and Collegiate athletes.

On her days off you can find Kayla relaxing with her friends by the pool or down the shore; she also loves the outdoors and is an avid runner. Kayla enjoys spending time with her family whether they are camping or hiking. She has never been out of this country but loves hearing about other people’s adventures. With his energetic, caring, positive personality, Evan creates a warm atmosphere for every patient with whom he interacts. In addition to making everyone feel welcome, Evan keeps the clinic running with precision, balance, and flexibility, the same attributes he applies to his personal health and fitness training.

Evan received his B.S. in Exercise Science and a minor in psychology from Rutgers University and continues to work closely in their recreation department. As a certified MovNat trainer, he is a firm believer in continuing education programs and is pursuing certifications in Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Functional Movement Screening (FMS). You will discover through Evan’s knowledge he has a sincere devotion for integrating exercise and optimal wellness to create a sense of centering in the daily demands and stresses of life.

Volunteering is one of Evan’s passions: he has taught English to local students in Taiwan, built local schools on a mission to the Philippines, leads youth religious programs, and works with the Special Olympics. His interests are as wide as the globe itself – including cooking, martial arts, yoga, photography, playing soccer and basketball, hiking and traveling. Watch for him as he runs the NYC marathon of 2020. Evan loves to connect with all aspects of health and fitness, devoting infinite energy to any situation.

Additionally, Gracey works with our local community sport-teams on the benefits of sports recovery through Cryotherapy and Functional Movement Screens. With a sincere passion for working with children, you will discover that Gracey creates a fun-spirited and caring experience for patients of all ages. From her years as a dedicated cheer captain, she will celebrate every success as patients reach their goals.​

Graduating with academic honors, Gracey earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training, from East Stroudsburg University. While there, Gracey worked in the athletic departments of three high schools and two colleges supporting football, soccer, volleyball, baseball, and other teams. She developed a deep understanding of the mind-body connection from working with injured athletes, and today Gracey creates a compassionate environment in the clinic that cares for patients’ emotional and physical needs.​

Volunteering fulfills Ed’s altruistic pursuit: he has spent time as a Field Ecologist, has lead Eagle Scout Projects, and assisted the medical teams of the New York City Marathon. Turning a soccer injury into inspiration, she began her career within our clinic after discovering the benefits of high-quality care, with a top priority to motivate each person around her. Amanda understands the importance of optimal wellness, to alleviate day to day stresses and loves seeing patients enjoy their rehabilitation. Being a forever learner, Amanda has achieved her personal training certification to further her expertise in physical fitness.
