PEMF Therapy for Pets: Advanced Recovery & Rehabilitation

At NJCPT, we are expanding our commitment to health and recovery by introducing an education-based physical therapy program for pets. This program provides Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMF) and rehabilitation education for pets, primarily dogs, with the possibility of including cats if they are kept in a carrier. To maximize results, our experts will then guide pet owners in applying effective rehabilitation techniques to improve their pet’s mobility, reduce pain, and enhance overall well-being.

How PEMF Therapy Supports Your Pet’s Advanced Recovery and Rehabilitation

At NJCPT, we are expanding our commitment to health and recovery with Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) Therapy for Pets, a specialized rehabilitation program designed to enhance mobility, reduce pain, and accelerate healing. This non-invasive, education-based therapy combines PEMF therapy with expert-led rehabilitation instruction, providing pet owners with the knowledge and techniques to actively support their pet’s recovery between sessions. Primarily designed for dogs, the program also welcomes cats and other small animals when brought in carriers.

Our comprehensive approach ensures pet owners receive personalized guidance on safe and effective rehabilitation techniques, including manual therapy, mobility exercises, and PEMF therapy. Under the supervision of designated providers, pet owners learn how to apply these strategies safely, ensuring their pets continue to experience progress and improved function beyond clinic visits.

By reinforcing consistency in care, this program maximizes the effectiveness of each treatment. Whether managing arthritis, post-surgical recovery, chronic pain, or mobility challenges, PEMF Therapy for Pets provides a safe, innovative solution to improve your pet’s quality of life.

Treatment Approaches Included

Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMF) stimulates cellular healing and reduces inflammation, helping pets recover from injuries and chronic conditions. Manual therapy, including stretching and exercise instruction, teaches pet owners how to safely mobilize their pets to improve function and comfort. Ultrasound therapy, which may be included in the future, could further support tissue healing and circulation.

What to Expect During a Session

PEMF therapy sessions last 15 to 30 minutes, with pets remaining calm and comfortable while receiving targeted pain-free electromagnetic pulses. Pet owners will also be instructed on manual therapy techniques, including safe stretching and mobility exercises tailored to their pet’s condition to maximize physiological benefits following PEMF.

Our trained providers equip pet owners with the skills needed for ongoing therapy at home.

Program Implementation & Clinic Environment

To ensure a professional and comfortable clinic experience, pets are brought directly to a designated treatment area, separate from human patients. IQ Air Filtration systems are utilized near the pet therapy space to minimize allergens and maintain a clean environment. Each participating office will have at least one designated provider and one support person to oversee and assist with the program.
