Nick powered through his prestigious education, earning his Bachelor’s in Biology and Doctorate in Physical Therapy from well-respected Duquesne University. In addition, he was the recipient of the highly selective Atlantic 10 Post-Graduate Scholarship, which propelled his foundation for a profound, compassionate practice. Patients quickly discover that Nick makes each of their passions and goals his own. As a former athlete and the captain of his college soccer team, Dr. DiSomma understands the mindset of injured athletes and focuses intensely on neuromuscular re-education and strength training to achieve goals. Drawing upon a dynamic combination of integrative physical therapy to treat the whole person, Nick produces significant long-lasting results for all his patients.

Nick has earned his distinction within our organization, holding roles that elevate his professionalism as Clinic Manager, Home Care Manager, and is an active member of our Executive Leadership Team. Still an advocate for injury prevention, Dr. DiSomma coaches soccer leading The Montclair Kimberley team, and is a regular presenter at KIPP New Jersey, supporting athletics and academics for charter schools. On his off-days, you can find Nick always up for a sports debate and ready for game-time.

Dr. Rafaela Dos Santos is a highly skilled and innovative Doctor of Physical Therapy with a dual focus in Orthopedic and Neuromuscular conditions. From a young age, Rafaela set her goals at becoming a distinguished Doctor of Physical Therapy. While obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in biology from William Paterson, Rafaela was inducted to the prestigious Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society. She earned her Doctorate from Stockton University, participating in research studies on Kinesiotaping and Post-Mastectomy Lymphedema. Through her vast experiences, including volunteering at the Atlantic City Marathon, Dr. Dos Santos gained a unique insight into specialized treatment plans for athletes and orthopedic patients of all ages.

Rafaela is dedicated to providing expert, personalized care, and restoring functional movement for each patient’s overall well-being. Creating a compassionate environment, Dr. Dos Santos precisely designs effective treatment plans, using the most current evidence-based science and expert manual skills for her patients to achieve long-lasting results. Her best day is watching a patient overcome a challenge and celebrating every milestone throughout the recovery process.

When Rafaela steps away from her profound practice to recharge, she spends time in the sun, enjoying the ocean waves. Her family and friends are the cornerstones of her inspiration, valuing the time she spends with them. Rafaela is a jet-setter in her hiking adventures and plans to explore the European countryside one day.

Stephen profoundly understands the needs of his patients, expertly utilizing functional movement and neuro-muscular reeducation, making him a Powerhouse doctor for every patient.

From a young age, Stephen set his goal of becoming an accomplished Doctor of Physical Therapy. Achieving his undergraduate degree at Dordt University with a focus in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology, Stephen gained a deep understanding of human anatomy and the dynamic mindset of an athlete. He gained recognition in the Pro Bono National Honor Society and Dean’s List while earning his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Through a rapport-filled atmosphere, Stephen goes the extra mile for all his patients, eradicating the root cause of any issue and making it his top priority to exceed their goals.

When Stephen takes a break from treating patients, he focuses on creating workouts, studying nutrition, and watching sports. He loves a fun adventure and is always up for surfing the waves of the New Jersey shore.

Regina is WOPT’s Client Care Manager, and her passion for connecting with and reaching out to people has served her well in her position. You’ll see Regina as soon as you arrive on any Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, answering insurance questions, keeping the clinic’s administrative operations in tip-top organizational shape, and of course, keeping our patients company! She keeps our business running smoothly by coordinating the schedules for all our wonderful patients.

As the Head of Administrative Advancement, Regina works with the Client Care Team to hone in on each detail that makes your experience unique from any other office experience.

Regina works with team members from the beginning of their career to foster the very best results for them, in addition to creating five-star customer service for each patient. As a graduate of Montclair State University, Regina has a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training. When she initially applied to the ATC program, she discovered WOPT and knew this was where she wanted to be. Her upbeat, warm personality and unwavering dedication to our patients has earned her the distinction of Executive on our leadership team.

Regina has a passion for traveling to new places – near and far. Whether it’s sleeping in a loft over an Alpaca Farm or exploring a completely different country’s culture, she is always excited for a new adventure. When she is home relaxing, you will most likely find her playing with her beloved rescue dog, Chauncey!

Organizational Clinic Coordinator Manager

Kristen’s greatest passion is helping others. As a Clinic Coordinator on our MWF Team, Kristen finds joy interacting with patients and sharing stories. She makes each person’s experience in our clinics the absolute best it can be. Kristen knows the power and importance of personal connections, and with her vibrant, caring personality, she creates a welcoming atmosphere for all.

After earning her BA in Social Science and minoring in Psychology at Ramapo College, Kristen worked with individuals with developmental disabilities and emotional challenges. As a believer in continuing to grow and learn, she is an avid student of yoga for physical activity, relaxation, and mindfulness. Kristen brings positive energy, compassion, and dedication to everyone she meets. She lives each day by her deep belief that every interaction should positively affect others.

For most of her life, Kristen has been involved in musical theater, entranced by the way singing and dancing transports those onstage and in the audience in the most electrifying way. She also loves exploring hiking trails in Sussex County, connecting with her “inner mermaid” at the beach, and going to Jets games with her twin brother.

Denise is our outstanding Clinic Coordinator who guides our clinic with top-notch precision and meticulous attention to detail. Each day, Denise goes the extra mile to ensure our Doctors of Physical Therapy have everything they need to bring patients to full recovery. With her bright personality, Denise connects easily with patients of all ages and is sure to celebrate every success story in their recovery process.

With a quest to help others, Denise achieved her Bachelor’s of Science in Health and Physical Therapy, earning academic recognition on the Dean’s List from Monmouth University. From coaching cheerleading in college, Denise brings her impeccable leadership skills to our team daily, motivating each person she interacts with. Patients quickly discover that Denise is a firm believer in optimal wellness and that with our expert quality care, a person can heal safely and return to the activities they love. 

On Denise’s off time, you can find her reading, watching movies, or going to the beach with friends. In addition, she enjoys learning new activities that bring creativity to her mind, like painting.
