COVID-19
Rehabilitation Program

A personalized COVID-19 rehabilitation program designed by rehabilitation professionals who have successfully battled the after-effects of COVID-19 disease.

ANXIETY & DEPRESSION

An inability to thrive from loneliness during a pandemic that requires social distancing is entirely understandable and normal. This is why we offer our COVID-19 Rehabilitation Program.

Anxiety and Depression Solutions: Exercise with emotional support within a positive and caring rehabilitation environment. Our providers are trained in the most advanced relational brain sciences such as Interpersonal Neurobiology, Mindfulness Training, Empathetic Communication, and Emotional Intelligence.

LUNGS

Reduced lung function results in gasping for breath and fatigue from poor oxygenation.

Lung Solutions: Our COVID-19 Rehabilitation Program provides safe physical exercise plus specific breathing exercises to improve lung capacity. Computerized spirometry lung capacity testing consistently tracks progress. Pulse oximetry monitors blood oxygen saturation.

STRENGTH

Atrophy of muscles can quickly occur with sickness or quarantine without illness. Our COVID-19 Rehabilitation focused on decreased muscle mass leads to insulin resistance, fatigue, and unhealthy weight gain.

Strength Solutions: Select aerobic cardiovascular training to utilize fat stores (ketones) combined with strengthening your musculoskeletal system to accomplish optimal fitness and function.

FLEXIBILITY

Detrimental reductions in flexibility occur naturally with limited activity. These changes can lead to injury, especially when trying to return to pre-pandemic and pre-illness activities without supervision.

Flexibility Solutions: A detailed flexibility assessment with personalized and specific flexibility and stretching exercises to train and safely prepare your body for greater levels of physical activity. Additionally, our COVID Rehabilitation ensures the chest wall and thoracic mobility are emphasized to help with the restoration of lung function.

BRAIN

Brain fog and inability to focus are hallmarks of COVID disease. Some may develop signs of early-onset dementia.

Brain Solutions: Brain Training applications, meditation (mindfulness training), and physical exercise to heal injury by stimulating axon and dendrite growth, improving clarity, focus, memory, and intelligence. All serve a large role in COVID Rehabilitation.

HEART

Elevated blood pressure and heart rate from vasculitis may reduce heart functioning and cause poor oxygenation and extreme fatigue.

Heart Solutions: Specific graded exercise to strengthen your heart and body with real-time monitoring of blood pressure and heart rate. Six lead ECGs used to monitor heart function and detect electrical abnormalities. Advanced Heart Rate Variability assessment combined with training to stimulate vagus nerve parasympathetic healing of your heart and body. Blood oxygen saturation is monitored with pulse oximetry.

BALANCE

Many post-COVID patients see whole body neurological deficits which impact movement patterns and increase the likelihood of injury.

Balance Solutions: Continuous training of body balance systems (proprioception, vision, and equilibrium) to optimize balance, functional movement pattern training, and neuromuscular re-education.
