PEMF Therapy for Pets: Advanced Recovery & Rehabilitation

At NJCPT, we are expanding our commitment to health and recovery by introducing an education-based physical therapy program for pets. This program provides Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMF) and rehabilitation education for pets, primarily dogs, with the possibility of including cats if they are kept in a carrier. To maximize results, our experts will then guide pet owners in applying effective rehabilitation techniques to improve their pet’s mobility, reduce pain, and enhance overall well-being.

How it Works:

This program combines advanced therapeutic modalities with expert-led education to guide pet owners in supporting their pet’s recovery with confidence. Under the supervision of trained professionals, owners learn safe, hands-on techniques that can be used to reinforce therapeutic progress between sessions. The approach is tailored to each pet’s condition and focused on improving mobility, reducing discomfort, and promoting consistency in care. By aligning clinical expertise with structured, evidence-informed strategies, the program creates a clear and supportive path toward long-term recovery.

How PEMF Supports Your Pet’s Recovery:

Each session lasts 30 to 60 minutes, during which pets remain calm and comfortable while receiving gentle, pain-free electromagnetic pulses through PEMF therapy. PEMF helps reduce inflammation, relieve pain, and accelerate tissue repair, making it especially beneficial for pets recovering from surgery, managing arthritis, coping with chronic pain, or addressing mobility challenges. Treatment plans may also include complementary therapies, such as ultrasound, to enhance healing and accelerate recovery. Combining therapeutic technology with expert instruction, the program helps ensure greater comfort, continuity, and confidence in your pet’s care.

Program Implementation & Clinic Environment

To ensure a professional and safe clinic experience, pets are brought directly to a designated treatment area, separate from human patients, in alignment with our Medical Safe Zone standards. IQ Air Filtration systems are used near the pet therapy space, and the area is cleaned with antibacterial protocols and supported by UVC lighting to minimize allergens and maintain a clean environment. Each participating office has a designated provider and support person to oversee the program and uphold all safety procedures.
