Dr. Catherine Andrasko is a highly-qualified and intuitive Doctor of Physical therapy who is a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in the fields of pediatrics and sports. Catherine is one of only two double board-certified specialists in sports and pediatrics in the entire country and is the only provider who specializes in both on the East Coast. As a former national swimmer who overcame a shoulder injury of her own, Catherine understands the mindset of an athlete. She knows what it takes to turn injured athletes back into champions. The passions, goals, and needs of Catherine’s patients are her top priorities. Drawing upon a dynamic combination of proven scientific evidence, skilled manual therapy, and her wide-ranging experience, Dr. Andrasko uses her creative mindset to build each of her patients an individualized program. Catherine expertly treats patients with various conditions and has special interests, including pediatrics, youth sports, endurance athletes, and injury prevention. Dr. Andrasko loves a challenge and is committed to seeing patients crush their goals.
After graduating with her BA in Health Science from Gettysburg College, Catherine went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the Stratford Campus of the Rutgers School of Health-Related Professions. While working diligently towards her Doctorate, she was selected to present her noteworthy research on using manual therapy to heal shoulder injuries in athletes at the American Physical Therapy Association’s prestigious Combined Sections Meeting. Additionally, she was only one of two students nationwide to be selected to complete a competitive internship in the field of pediatrics.
When she’s not treating her patients, Catherine enjoys doing DIY projects around her home and staying active by swimming or training for her next running race. Catherine is also an enthusiastic traveler and enjoys exploring new places, both overseas and throughout the USA. In fact, she has been to all continents except Antarctica. Additionally, she is a die-hard Alabama football fan who can be found cheering on the Crimson Tide every Saturday in the fall!
Dr. Alexa Schaefer is a dynamic, highly intuitive Doctor of Physical Therapy with focuses in Orthopedics, Sports Rehabilitation, and Pediatrics. Alexa customizes detail-oriented treatment plans to exceed her patient’s physical therapy goals. Profound experiences working with stroke patients at Valley Hospital and volunteering at the Muscular Dystrophy Association set a strong foundation for her devoted, patient-centered practice. Patients of all ages quickly discover that Dr. Schaefer works with steadfast determination to find the root cause of injury. She believes proper functional movement is essential for patients to return to the activities they love. Alexa compassionately and thoroughly explains each step of the recovery process utilizing the most up-to-date scientific research as she delivers expert, one-on-one care.
Growing up a competitive dancer and volleyball player, experiencing years of physical therapy, Alexa set her goals to become an accomplished Doctor of Physical Therapy. Flourishing at the University of Rhode Island with a bachelor’s in Kinesiology, she earned membership into the prestigious Delta Epsilon Mu, a highly distinguished Pre-Health Fraternity. Alexa quickly rose to the top of her class when achieving her Doctorate from Kean University. With unwavering fortitude serving as a dedicated Vice President, she organized her class’s inaugural white coat ceremony and earned recognition as Teacher’s Assistant, providing astute mentorship to first-year students.
When Alexa is not celebrating her patients’ accomplishments, she enjoys furthering her fitness journey and challenging new gym routines. She enjoys catching up with friends on beach trips, experiencing New York City, and diving into plot-twisting novels.
