Dr. Joanna Scaglione, PT

joanna-scaglione_siteDr. Scaglione is highly skilled in treating patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and cardiopulmonary conditions.  Her proficiency and focus on creating individualized programs integrated with her passion for manual therapy and current evidence-based techniques creates results for each of her patients. Joanna enjoys getting to know each of her patients to create specific treatment goals geared toward their lifestyle.  A lifelong learner, she is actively pursuing her next educational goal for board certifications in orthopedics and pediatric physical therapy.

After completing her undergraduate degree in Health Sciences from Quinnipiac University, Joanna went on to earn her doctorate in Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac University’s accelerated PT program in Hamden, CT.  During her doctoral studies, Joanna studied the effects of using an iPhone virtual running App on aerobic capacity.  This experience allowed her to use current technology to influence, and ultimately improve, the exercise habits of participants, enhancing their overall health and well-being.

In her spare time, she can be found reading a good book, listening to music, and watching movies with her sister. As a former collegiate athlete, Joanna loves to stay active and you can often see her running through her neighborhood in Wayne. She also loves traveling to new places. Her favorite trips, so far, were Italy, Niagara Falls, and Cape Cod. On the weekends, you can find her enjoying traditional Sunday night pasta dinners with her family. She’s never met a dish of pasta she didn’t love. Let her know if you’ve got a delicious pasta recipe of your own to share!
